China Lake Buffet in Ridgecrest

When I was a teenager I would go to from Independence to Ridgecrest with my best friend and his family every couple months to do shopping. The only place we would ever eat if the all-you-can-eat buffet at China Lake Buffet. Now that I am 28 years old I live in Ridgecrest with my wife and kids and out of all the places I have tried here I can tell you that the all-you-can-eat buffet at the China Lake Buffet is still the best thing to get in town.

Great place for Valentine's dinner. Should have prepared better for Valentine's dinner rush.

I visit this place a lot since I work close by. I must say the customer service is always awesome and they keep the place well kept regularly. Rates are convenient and they serve big portions.

If there was a benchmark for generic Chinese food buffet, this would be it. I arrived 30 minutes after they opened on a Sunday, and through some sort of witchcraft, they were able to make the food taste as if it was already many hours old. Fishy tasting sushi (the wrong kind it fish taste), slimy shrimp, warm soggy lo mein noodles, stale egg roles and salt oily green beans. This place really excels at mediocrity, congrats kiddos!

The staff are friendly. There is a variety of tasty food to eat including, soups, salads, sushi, and other dishes expected in a Chinese restaurant. You can also choose items to create a dish for the chef to cook while you wait. They serve several flavors of ice cream, which my husband likes. The dessert portions are small, so you can a taste of several without consuming too many calories.

The food is good but everytime we went there, they charged us more. I thought that Buffet's are flat rate pay and all you can eat. But not the case here.

Typical Chinese Buffet, food is average, cheese wontons are by far the best thing there. Wish they had beef and broccoli. staff is friendly.
